Meet at the trailhead at 1:00. 
Black Mountain Trail is a 2.5 mile (round trip) short steep hike that ascends a craggy slate trail.
This is supposed to be a butt-kicking hike with excellent views at the top to reward you for your efforts.
The hike is rated as difficult.

Bring water and snacks. Estimated hike time is 2- 3.5 hours.

Directions: From the intersection of 101 and Scottsdale, go north on Scottsdale Rd for 12 miles. At the T intersection of Tom Darlington’s and Cave Creek, turn left (west) onto Cave Creek for 1.4 miles. At the stop sign turn left onto north School House Road. The parking is a quarter mile further on both sides of Military Road. Meet at the trailhead at 1:00.
