Hike description from AllTrails: Tucked deep within the Fountain Hills McDowell Mountain Preserve, the Mesquite Hollow Trail is the newest gem in the trail system, already earning high praise from hikers for its peaceful solitude and dramatic desert scenery. The trail is named after a nearly 80-year-old Mesquite tree that you’ll discover 1.3 miles into your journey, a quiet desert sentinel that marks the heart of this beautifully crafted route.
Meetup at the Adero Canyon Trailhead; be ready to hike at 1:00. Free parking, water and bathrooms available at the trailhead. The hike is rated Moderate on AllTrails, with a
total distance of 4.2 miles and elevation gain of 700 ft.
Optional after-hike libations and food at Sofrita, Fountain Hills.
