About this event

This "hike" will be a historical scavenger hunt to discover the links to the past that are part of Papago Park. Not only will this be a beautiful walk through this popular desert preserve, but it will also feature sites and stories about historical links to Native Americans, two US Presidents, WWII, a bass fish hatchery, the white pyramid, a majestic 2-story adobe, Sandra Day O'Connor and more!
If you would like to stay for a picnic in the park after our hike, please
bring your own sandwich and beverage. Chips, fruit, and cookies will be provided. The starting point will be the parking lot of the AZ Heritage Center Museum on College in Tempe where there is plenty of free parking and restrooms are available.
