DO AZ - WE DO!  Let's get outta the heat at the 13th Annual SSSC Rim Area Campout.   PLEASE READ AND PRINT OUT FLYER!   Join Gail and Elizabeth and other happy campers at the Moqui Campground off FR 138.  Basically, go north on SR87 past Payson, Pine and Strawberry, and even past FR300 (Rim Road).   Happy Jack/Clint's Well area is about 19 miles northeast of FR300.  Happy Jack Resort and RV Park is an option for non-campers.  Another 5-6 miles is FR751, (only for Blue Ridge Reservoir);  another 2-3 miles, you'll see FR138, and a sign saying "MOQUI".   Turn right, and go in approx. 1 mile until you see the left turn into the MOQUI group of 3 campsites.  We'll be in the SPOONER POD site!   Look for the SSSC banner and come up anytime Friday after 2pm or join us earlier to caravan and help set up camp, which will have picnic tables, a grill, fire ring, potable water and VAULT TOILET (it doesn't flush).

What SSSC provides:   stoves, some cookware, breakfast Sat. and Sun. morning, coffee, some eating utensils/cups/paper plates, paper towels, canopies for some cover from rain (count on it!).    Please note the potable water pump and drain is not meant for washing dishes.

What YOU provide:  a will-help attitude with cooking assistance, keeping camp clean, abiding by bear precautions as noted in camp (putting food away in vehicles, etc, not having food/toothpaste/lotions in your tent) and monsoon awareness (lightning).  ALSO BRING firewood, rain gear, bug spray, flashlights, camping gear, sunscreen, bathingsuit/water gear, 2-way radios if you have any (not mandatory, but helpful while hiking or going to Reservoir),  contributions to Happy Hours and extras for breakfast, plus in-camp goodies (contact Gail so we don't overdo one and miss out on others).   Lunches, snacks and BYOB are on your own!  You may also want to bring a few utensils just in case, but some pots and frying pans, plus coffee pots will be provided.  Contact Gail with questions!

Happy Hours each evening can result in plenty for dinner for all, so bring something substantive and yummy:   Friday night - meats, quacamole/taquitos or mini burros, chip/dip, casseroles, fruits/veges, interesting salads, whatever.   We can direct you how to cook/heat up something.   Saturday night - - wine and cheese tasting, so bring one bottle of wine and some interesting cheese (no American cheese slices, please!)

To play:  the Arizona Trail is right behind the campground!   The Blue Ridge Reservoir is 2 miles south of off FR751, and you can launch a small boat or kayak.canoe, but motor limit is 10hp, .  Please let me know if you plan on that!

Lastly:   the tradition Gail shower with ruby ducky isn't allowed, so bring what you need to have pity on fellow camper. Thanks,

Gail
